Shevchenko Oleksandr

Oleksandr Shevchenko is a serviceman of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR), serving in the “Khymera” unit within the special unit “Tymur”. He is a commander of a strike UAV unit.

A volunteer, he first joined Ukraine’s defense efforts in 2018 as part of units associated with the Azov movement.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022, he has taken part in the Kyiv campaign to liberate the region, as well as combat operations in the Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Sumy directions. As part of the joint “Khyzhak” unit, he was among the first to enter liberated Kherson.

He is currently engaged in combat operations on the Zaporizhzhia front as part of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

Oleksandr is also a professional athlete: Master of Sports in combat sambo and Candidate Master of Sports in mixed martial arts. He is a two-time Kyiv champion in combat sambo and a winner of multiple military sports tournaments, including Pit Bull Fight, “Idu na Vy”, and M13 Fight.
