Head of Communications Unit, 68th Separate Artillery Brigade, Armed Forces of Ukraine; War Writer
Oleh Kalashnikov is Head of the Communications Unit of the 68th Separate Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a war writer.
He holds a Master’s degree from Zhytomyr National Agroecological University.
He is a member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine and the National Union of Photographers of Ukraine.
He has been serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine since 2016, progressing from senior soldier to officer rank, currently holding the rank of Major.
He is the author and co-author of six documentary-fiction books on the Russian-Ukrainian war, as well as screenwriter of eight documentary films and the trilogy “Fiery Trident”. He has also directed several documentary films about artillery units.
