Richard Elsen started his career more than 25 years ago with the Press Office of the British Rail, the Department of Crisis Management. In 1993 he went on to the Press Office of the UK’s Labour Party, where he worked in the Rapid Rebuttal and Media Attack Unit. Richard Elsen is one of the leading legal PR experts in the UK. He has handled media aspects of some of the most challenging, high profile civil actions brought before the High Court (London). His work includes crisis and reputation management in sensitive legal cases, particularly those involving extradition and high profile persons to be put on /off the Interpol Red Notice. Mr. Elsen is the founder and the chairman of the board of directors of Byfield Consultancy, a London legal and litigation communications agency.
