Chausovsky Eugene

Eugene Chausovsky graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. He holds a doctoral degree in international relations. Areas of expertise: politics, economics and security trends in the former Soviet states; Russia's energy policy and strategy; EU policy toward the former Soviet states; sovereignty and integration processes in Europe and the former Soviet states. He studied demographic trends and their impact on political and electoral systems. Currently he is the head of the European branch of Stratfor, an American analytical center. The Center was founded in 1996 by George Friedman, a political scientist and geo-politician, in Austin (Texas, USA). The Center exercises great influence on shaping public opinion in the United States and on American politics at large. The Center’s area of expertise is producing geopolitical and economic reports basing on mass media and other sources information analysis.
